I suppose its a matter of taste (well, yeah, everything is once you've assimilated Pirsig), but I still think that as long as you attempt to do metaphysics you're taking the wrong strategy and as long as you think pragmatism has an epistemology you're grabbing it by the wrong handle.
But, this is why you're a Heideggerian and I'm not. Its a matter of taste in heroes.

p.s. I haven't gotten around to those other e-mails on Heidegger and such because I haven't had a lot of e-mail time and I've been inudated with on-list activity (partly because of you ;-) which I prioritize first. If things calm down soon, I'll get back on some of that stuff. Sorry about the wait.
