    Yeah, funny you should say that. I'm not sure how much I've picked that up from Rorty, but Rorty is often chastized for his style. He says something provocative and then proceeds to deflate the slogan, littering the ground with caveats and qualifications. I don't know if I did that before I read Rorty, but apparently I've taken to it quite well. Rorty says a lot of that came from his teenage days of "red baiting" and I suppose I did have a similar stage of "Christian baiting" when I first became an atheist. But, I did outgrow my atheism, though Rorty never did outgrow his red baiting.
