Hi David
[David:]
I've been holding back from expressing an opinion, but this move of
yours is
the straw that broke the camel's back. Now I feel confident enough to
say it
out loud; YOU ARE THE BEST! You're a rock star! Thanks very much.
[Paul:]
If only I was a rock star....I can't even play the spoons :-)
I honestly don't think I deserve such credit. I only wish to develop
Pirsig's thought along the lines he may have envisioned and I think
building as clear a picture as possible is an important first step. I
believe that there are some things which only the author can help with
and at times it seemed the confusion over the "intellectual level"
seemed to be dragging the whole thing down.
[David:]
And I hope Pirsig's letter leads to a long discussion on the topic.
[Paul:]
I hope it helps too. I just wish more attention was given to the
comments in Lila's Child as well.
[David:]
I get the impression that the author has been reading some posts.
[Paul:]
Me too. The internet has made a lot of great things possible.
Cheers
Paul
