For all you Rorty fans, DMB has just expressed a fundamental truth because
you must accept it in the process of denying it.

Huh? A fundamental truth? Must accept it in denying it? The point of my post
was to show the distinction between the social and intellectual levels, a
point you apparently missed. It was not aimed at Rorty fans either. I was
making a case AGAINST assertions like yours, assertions that push the
intellectual level back tens of thousands of years before the Greeks. I
think your view demonstrates a lack of historical imagination, a lack of
understanding about pre-historic cultures, contradicts the MOQ and, even
more specifically, it contradicts the comments elicited by Paul's letter to
the author. I believe you have a deep-seated anti-intellectual attitude and
that has always prevented you from sorting out the top two levels properly.
As much as I'd like to have the support of other Rorty critics, your "help"
doesn't help. You seem to be pushing social level moral codes, which only
has the effect of making Rorty's critics look like reactionary, pre-modern
cranks.
So thanks, but no thanks,
