Platt, would you agree that it would be better to say that the 5 senses
perceive value, but we also perceive value in other ways? We perceive the
low quality of the hot stove with our sense of touch, but sense the high
value of truth in the statement 2+2=4 without the five senses. Rather than
call value a sixth sense, "sense" may be a word for explaining how we
experience value?
I think I read the Dalia Lama talking of mind as a sense and counting 6
senses. Scott? Would intellectual and social value be thought of as
perceived through the sense called mind?
