Hello Marc,
The genetic defect in reason is the replacement of Truth over the Good. One
consequence of this is that truth is regarded as real while Quality is
superficial. However, if we replace Quality as the real, Truth becomes a valued
intellectual tool in the pursuit of Quality.
The social fallout of all this appears to be a negation of Human values -
blind, 'Value free' truth-seeking science has got a bit out of hand and is
running away with harmful consequences. Human life is devalued.
That's the way i see it Marc.
