Dear Mark,
You wrote 9 Dec 2003 07:52:07 -0500:
'Don't tell me you are another one who enjoys speaking for the moral
majority?
Surely people can make up their own minds?
I have decided to call it a day regarding Matt and his shenanigans - in and
out of forum. Others may do as they see fit.
My essay has been ignored and i can accept that - it's a matter of choice.
I am happy to be ignored by people who have no interest in anything but
themselves Wim. My interest goes beyond me, and i hope those who know that
will always understand my frustrations.'
Wim:
I didn't speak for others. I just alerted you to the RISK that my opinion
may become a moral majority if you don't defend yourself or mend your ways.
Mind you: my opinion is less negative than that of Matt. I don't exclude the
possibility that your behaviour is defendable.
You're not dealing with Matt now, but with me. The subject (as far as I am
concerned) is not 'Matt's shenanigans', but your willingness to stick to
netiquette and to be accountable for everything you write under whatever
name.
Mark 9a-12-03: Dear Wim, i have no problem with you. Matt is not in the same
league as you as far as i am concerned. Of the few people who contribute
worthwhile material to this forum, you are always on my reading list. But from now
on, Matt's posts will be left unread.
I stand by my netiquette. If a damn nuisance, like Matt, can speak
intelligently for the most part, but subserve his intelligence for silly games and daft
point scoring, then i get annoyed, and cannot but help fire off a few sparks.
At the end of the day, i feel it to be a massive waste of talent for one such
as Matt to carry on the way he does. I do not wish to be exposed to it any
more.
Wim:
Do you refer to the essay which you mentioned 19 Sep 2003 22:33:03 +0100,
which you 'hoped would be available on the forum soon'? If so, it is either
ignored or overseen by (only) Horse. (Or did he give you a reason why he
didn't make it available on the forum?) If you wish, you can send it to me.
I can then put it (within 24 hours) on my website
(www.antenna.nl/wim.nusselder/moq/[youressay].htm) to make it available to
everyone. I don't promise to read it myself. I prefer e-mails over essays
(in general: short texts that I get automatically in my INbox over long
texts that I have to look up on the web).
With friendly greetings,
Mark 9a-12-03: Wim, the essay is called, 'The edge of chaos' and has been on
the MoQ essay page for months. I do not mind if you do not wish to read it -
there is only so much time in the day?
I shall take a peak at your website.
All the best,
Mark
