THIS POST IS FROM GLEN BRADFORD. GLEN DID NOT ASK ME TO POST THIS BUT HE GAVE
ME PERMISSION AFTER I OFFERED TO.

    Hi Jon, Platt,
You two are making me ill with your hypocrisy. I see
that you are both outraged by offenses against freedom
of speech by the Supreme Court, but are blind to it
when it occurs in your own back yard.

Both of you piped up upon my ouster in defense of
Horse's actions to censor me. In true Orwellian
fashion, you Platt said that Horse was upholding the
right of free speech by unsubscribing me by "making it
possible for all to express their views without fear
of being smeared and vilified". This statement is
itself a smear and a vilification, and more
importantly, it is bizarre doublespeak to endorse the
use of actual censorship to fight some imagined
concern for the potential for censorship.

Jon, you summed up your reasoning by saying "let us
not hurt Horse, the man who has taken on the great
responsibility of keeping [the website] up." This is
totally irrelevant. Horse was wrong to unsubscribe me,
and all this did was distract everyone from the
immorality of his actions. The Supreme Court has a
great responsibility too, but about them you say "This
should be causing *more* outrage and shock. It's a sad
commentary on the public that most don't even realize
how serious this is. Let's call it what it is: the
most blatant, direct assault on the first amendment,
    ever."

Obviously, Horse moderates the list unevenly. He
unsubscribes me without one warning for "not
discussing the MOQ anymore". Then he sits idle when
squonk tells Matt, "You are a shit...Piss off" to
Matt's charges of plagiarism. As Struan recently
remarked to me, "On the MD, Horse is happy for
anything to happen, so long as people don't criticise
him or undermine his own beliefs by forwarding
    arguments he can't answer."
    Glenn
