Yes, most perceptive. Truth has a Quality aspect to it, a sense of
rightness that precedes its intellectual component, although Paul's
inclusion of "aesthetic" and "harmony" suggests the Quality aspect.
Pirsig makes it clear: " 'Truth is a species of good.' That was right on.
That was exactly what is meant by the Metaphysics of Quality. Truth is a
static intellectual pattern within a larger entity called Quality." (Lila,
Chp 29)
Maybe there's a way to improve on Paul's statement to include more of the
non-intellectual, non-dual Quality aspect you've highlighted. But, I defer
to him on that. Your point, however, is well taken and important to
understanding the MOQ. "Truth is a species of good" should be emblazoned
on every page of the MOQ syllabus.
