    Hi,

    First time here. Am enjoying the trash can v Mozart exchange.

    I'm no big fan of the trash can bangers, but it seems to me that Platt is
    falling into the trap of the shim and beer can, as related in ZMM. My guess
    is his complaint is more against the medium than the art. The can bangers
    generate some pretty intricte sounds, both in rhythm and tone. Would a nice
    set of finely-tuned kettle drums, with concert percussionists to "bang"
    them, be more palatable?
