    Hello platt,

    Well,

I can't really say that I'm a supporter of stewart because of various
reasons, and I can't really say that I'm opposed to what she has 'done'.
Since I do not watch her shows, or buy her products, than I can't really say
for sure, but I would lightly agree with your statement of her producing
higher quality goods. I won't go so far as to say that she has increased
the quality of life in America (or the earth for that matter). Still , she
has given people the interest of being more creative, and pursuing higher
quality endeavors. Hell, even just to buy higher quality, is better.

However, "it just goes to show" judicial systems existence, and the seeming
'sweet justice' it provides to the innocent bystanders. Most often, I find
that the most relatively inconsequential acts are condemned beyond any
    logical bounds.
What is focused on, is how Martha Stewart "allegedly" was part of some
'insider-trading' scheme, rather than the blatant abuse of industrial and
commercial powers exhibited by the Haliburton company (just one example out
    of many....)

I wonder why there is no civil, or governmental actions against the global
monopolization of Microsoft? Every day, quality gets bashed by greed. How
many can we crush into submission? How many will buy our products? How
are we going to eliminate the competition? Who can we screw next?? And
they line up by the billions......
