    I totally agree here, but the "give them what they want" attitude DOES
    exist. It exists on the campaign trail. Every politician up for
    election tells people what they want to hear, this is when they pander
    to the masses. However, after being elected, this pandering rapidly
    falls by the wayside in favor of self-service.
