    Dear Dan (RycheWorld),

    You asked 26 Mar 2004 09:41:27 -0500:
'What will a vote on what religion is better "prove"?'

According to the MoQ reality = experience and we experience only what is better or worse than something else. Votes summarize people's experiences. Voting helps us to take into account more experience, more reality, to see the patterns in a broader set of experiences. Voting on what religion is better 'proves' just as little or as much as voting on what candidate for a political position is better.
We need candidates for political positions, because organizing groups of people requires some concentration of political power. We tend to entrust more political power to choses candidates.
We need religions (or art, or science, or ...) to give meaning to our lives by guiding us towards where DQ can be found. Just maintaining static patterns of value is not enough for humans. So we seek the spots where new static patterns of value are being created in the wake of DQ. Some religions are better in this than others. If you experience (like Platt) a specific artistic practice as a better alternative for all religions, or a specific scientific practice, or yet another type of human endeavour, please present it and don't spend your energy on 'disproving religion'.

    With friendly greetings,

    Wim
