Dear Wim,
I used to get the feeling of having too many chessboards, but then I just stopped talking to certain people. I've become more reserved in my old age ;-)
I'm not actually going to reply to any of your responses because, since you've been sitting idle at the keyboard, Sam has moved in and taken a line similar to yours. Sam and I's conversation has moved ahead fairly well dialectically and I think you can get the picture from my posts the way our conversation would move. The conversation starts with Sam's thread starter "Secular humanism and dynamic quality" of 3/21 and continues up until the present. I highly suggest Sam and I's portion, and David and I's is fairly useful also.
Matt
