    Hi all,

back again (for a few brief [and expensive] moments).

I really enjoy the prospects of this thread, as the practical aspects of the
    moQ entice me.
MsH, I think that some of the ideas you proposed are suitable items for
discussion, as they realistically address individual and group(of society)
concerns. Such things you talk about are often enacted in various countries
    around the world.

The Netherlands alllow assisted suicide (and pot:)
various countries have some public radio kicking around.
    Canada has healthcare (medicare)

This is where i get frustrated with your view, Platt. The fact that you
think medicare to be an un-viable, or un-beneficial system in the public
    domain, is ......
The fact that you state your views is fine, and I respect that. But look at
    it this way;

You have never experienced a life with free healthcare (hospitals, doctors,
nurses). During my brief stay on earth, I have used the healthcare system
in canada numerous times, and IF i had to pay for it, i would be flat broke
(well, my parents would be anyways)

I really have a hard time believing that some can entertain thoughts of
private healthcare. This sort of system exists not necessarily for the
rich, but with those who have money. This system, is a direct result of
capitalism gone wrong. the poor cannot afford it, and it can drive middle
income persons into the ground with debt, depending on severity.

I am not making some plea for you to shed tears, but look at things
realistically, and with care for others you dont know.

And, since my posting here is intermittent now, at best, (i) dont want to
sound the saint, but when people ask questions that are only pushing things
back, whether in this thread or anywhere,.....just put it aside, and work as
      a TEAM!!

example of what I mean to say:

    Billy: Whats your favourite colour?
    Sanchez: whats YOUR favourite colour?

its not the same...but.....you can sort of see where im trying to go??

for this thread, if we (moq'ers) can make a concious effort at achieving a
discussion with the aim of progressing towards some sort of consensus, than
    it would be great .

THe only thing I know, is that I am part of the problem.

    Matt
