>What can MOQers say about ringing in the ears, and how to cope with it?
I've been there. It was really frightening and depressing and debilitating,
but somehow I stopped worrying about it after a while. I don't know if I
just got used to it, or if it went away, or what. I think I just got
distracted by other things enough that days started to go by where I didn't
think about it, and then weeks. I still have it, I sometimes notice it, but
I know not to worry about it anymore. We should still be careful about loud
sounds, but don't be "oh my God, I'm going deaf" complaining to everybody
careful, just take ear breaks, wear plugs if its real loud, you know.
Do things that fully occupy your mind (go on dates, have sex, play
competitive games). And stop talking about it, actually. It reinforces
your concentration on it, and you'll feel silly later about it how much you
were bugging everyone about your ears back then.
Best wishes,
Johnny
