First, there's nothing static about the current economic system other than
government interference with laws and regulations. Second, employe-owned
companies are corporations where employees own the majority of the stock
and get to pick the board of directors. Being human, they will vote their
self-interests, often to the detriment of the company's ability to compete
and/or stay in business. (Congress is a good example of a democratically
run business that keeps voting itself raises and more benefits.)
You can criticize capitalism all you want. It's still a free country. But,
finding a better system without squelching Dynamic Quality will take some
doing. After all, there have been innumerable attempts to come up with
something better throughout history. As far as I know, Utopia has yet to
be found. :-)
