Hi Charles
Above all, I feel that Pirsig gave me the words to better articulate what
I already understood from both experience and what others have said
about it. Any kind of experience that seems to cast aside alienation
and subject-object difference is clearly full of something that we
may call quality or sublime or reverence. Pirsig has helped me cast
off lots of bad ideas that simply reinforce SOM. Sublime experiences
are what sent me seeking an explanation that has included discovering
Pirsig. Good question.
regards

Subject: MD Enriched by Quality
To all who read, this is addressed to you personally.
How has Quality affected your life? Has it changed anything for you?
I wanted to ask everybody this question just so I could see if someone genuinely appreciates Quality for the sheer richness and beauty of it, for what it is in itself. I want to know what it means to all of you, personally, honestly, without worrying or fudging because of what someone else may say.
Tell me one thing about you or your perception of the world that has changed since reading ZMM and Lila, just one.
I may be wrong, but to me the MOQ has always been a very personal philosophy that applies not so much to anything else more than my own life. I feel like now that Quality has been made more clear, now that we can't deny its reality, can't deny that we experience it, this has somehow made me accountable to it. Does anyone else share this feeling?
