Actually, no. But I'm intrigued by what I've been able to find on the web from a
few searches and reads. I've reserved his book Alienation and the Actuality of
Enlightenment from the library and hope to begin reading it this week. If you
have a specific article/book suggestion, please let me know.
One web site described Bhaskar's approach thus, "That is, unlike Kant, Bhaskar
believes that the conceptual categories that we use to identify and understand
social events are not exogenously determined; rather these categories are
socially and historically determined".
Indeed, in addition to Pirsig, I've been reading a lot of Vygotsky and Bakhtin,
as well as Michael Tomasello, regarding socio-cultural theory. Your
recommendation thus seems to be very timely. I very much appreciate it.
