It's been too long since I contributed to the discussion here and I
guess I can always blame on too much work and other stuff but I have
lately realized that your PS above indicates the real reason.
I too, part somewhat from Pirsigs exact words here and there. I'd like
to think it's both conscious and constructive but I know some would
differ. In the long run, it gets very boring to explain my particular
differences in every thread so nowadays I think more than twice before
entering a discussion.
Now I'm going to make one of those suggestions that sounds like a good
idea at the time but will probably just fade away due to the workload.
Anyway, here goes.
It should be possible to make some kind of map showing the MoQ according
to Lila as the main branch and other - conscious or not, constructive or
not - as sub branches taking off from the MoQ branch.
Perhaps some other metaphor than a tree would serve better to show what
we want. Pros, cons, advocates, etc. could be attached to each branch,
but perhaps we'd better not call them pros and cons. A pro for me could
very well be a con for somebody else I guess.
I know it feels like we would split up the MoQ just as bad as SOM's
numerous different interpretations, but perhaps it's better to face the
current situation than to strike the ostrich pose?
