Patrick Hi,
I have posted a few things without much reply in here and I
think it was because I didnt use the common jargon of MOQ's and DQ's...DQ by
the way(btw) used to mean, in my family, Dairy Queen, and we had to spell it
so the dog wouldnt realize she was going for a ride. That having been said,
I suppose my dogs subjective truth of DQ was a fun ride but wait I digress.
You wanted to know about your SO blues.......I have come to understand the
encompassing view of the eastern minds that all is one and one is all, but
that is not a place to stay but a place to be aware of as is the place of
everything being subjective because in order to find YOUR place in it all
there needs to be an understanding of the constant flow and dynamic movement
of reality/truth/quality and a balance found in your arena of life. The
movement that is necessary might be said to be the movement of attention or
awareness through those places or through that range of focus.
It seems to me that most of the conjecture in here is born out
of a general misunderstanding of the bigger picture that Persig saw/sees, no
see/saw pun intended...J Krishnamurti's The Only Revolution develops a path
to meditation that allows a person to experience without the confusion of
thought. Joseph Campbell points out that we were in the grace of God before
we "ate" from the tree of knowledge. And my own point that spirituality is
the ability to see past the illusion of thought is illucidated in The
Electric Kool Aide Acid Test with the Feedback Loop.
Consider that Deja-Vu is merely conscious memory of preconscious
awareness. It is the sensation of feedback of the memory of the experience
overlaid on the current conscious interpretation of those facts in a split
second. That is why there is the overwhelming and coinvincing sensation of
memory but NEVER a location or time that one can put their finger on. But
to say that preconscious awareness exists is not to get stuck there its just
another real aspect of life to consider when using the mind. Balance is the
most important and all we can do is the best we can with the level we have
attained experientially and functionally.
I hope this floats your boat some..... Clay
