Fellow MOQers:
Usually I'm a litttle bugged by insubstantial posts that only say "I agree"
or "Yea, me too", but this time its my turn to bore you all with trivial
niceties.
I'm very impressed with today's batch. Platt's post about the first division
was nothing short of brilliant. Bo's question to Marco about his "impossible
conclusion" was sharp as a razor, (I'll try to get back to you on that one,
Bodvar.) 3WD's infusion of Wilber on the levels of compassion was
exceedingly apt. Marco's qualification about individuality was reassuring
and his thoughts about the death penalty really nailed it. If I may be so
bold as to offer a broad sweeping opinion, the group really does seem to be
making progress. I'm happy to be back.
Now if I may return to my old nasty self for a moment and ruin all the good
will....
C'mon, Platt. You and me. Right now. Let's step outside and settle this
thing. Just kidding. That debate would be boring because I've already heard
your position many, many times on talk radio. Ba dump bump.
( On the political compass I scored a -3.25 on economics and -7.40 on the
libertarian/authoritarian axis.)
Baseball is boring, boring, boring. Haven't watched a sporting event on TV
in many years and am suspicious of people who waste time doing so, which is
nearly everybody. (Not making any friends here, I know.) Anyway, sorry I
mislead you with the baseball analogy.
There's no important difference between TIME, NEWSWEEK or U.S. NEWS. The
range of opinion in the mainstream American media is about as wide as the
space between David Letterman's two front teeth. Except for FOX, as Roger
points out. Fox is way out in right field. For every hour you watch it, you
lose one I.Q. point. There has been studies that prove it. :-)
Apologies for the total lack of MOQ discussion,
