Dave,
well, it's my turn to say I fully agree with you and that you say these things better than me :-)
One question:
DAVE:
Back to the "mind" "mental" thing you keep trying to introduce into my
take on the intellect. As I have said before the MoQ "intellect" does
not equal "mind","minds", "mental" etc. If I were to approach the most
skilled surgeon in the world with Bill Gate's bankroll and ask tell him
the money is all his if only he will split "the mind" from "the body" I
would never have to pay him a penny.
It is not possible because this split is a philosophic one not a
biological one.

Long time ago you have suggested MOQ-Intellect as "patternmaker". Don't know if you are still on that position. I was not very happy, 'cause in that case we have an intellect that creates itself. A loop that is hard to be handled.
Aren't you now meaning that the skill of creating "concepts" is biological, and that it is by means of these concepts that we build firstly society and then, eventually, intellect? I'd like it, 'cause it l would mean that we don't need anymore to assume MOQ-intellect as the "patternmaker". Pattern making (at least social and intellectual patterns) as a biological activity would also square with Pirsig's statement that only living beings can evolve.
Ciao,
Marco
