RICK: Don't you think that 'subjective and objective beauty' is just 'romantic
>and classic quality'?
ERIN: Okay yeah what screwed me up was I liked when Platt mentioned the unity
and I was trying to make the objective that unity and the romantic and classic
the subjective parts. But you're right if the unity is a coexistence it is
really subjective/objective. Quality would be subjective objective beauty
(coexistence of classic and romantic quality)
So with Keats poem -- truth is teauty, truth beauty the analogy would be
classic quality is romantic quality, Quality.
So again I was trying to capture the unity as a coexistence and called it
objective beauty but I forgot that the coexistence was the coexistence of
opposites so it can't just be objective.
erin (noncapitalized for you as thanks for catching my blooper)
did I get what you were saying or is it still messed up?
