Hey Rog,
I appreciate your comments, and I realized after I sent it that I should
have checked it a little more thoroughly before sending. I was in a rush.
"This is an odd comment on a post which was dedicated to encouraging others
to
root out my "brainwashing." Still, your attempt at establishing moral
equivalency of biased views with intentional attempts at creating a
genocidal
population are sickening. There is a big gap between a biased media and
fomenting genocide."
Fair enough. But I think you missed my meaning, my apology to all who chose
Rog's interpretation. In how many shcools and in how many classrooms is this
taught? This is the point I'm getting at. Are you sure that it's in every
classroom? Or maybe just a few where the teacher lost their family the day
before? Maybe that's all you've heard about. Kids get shot by their peers in
American classrooms, should I categorize all American schools in such a
manner as well?
ROG: I guess someone that isn't interested in resolving the issue could
take this
dishonest route, but I think we can avoid this. I acknowledge that one can
disagree with Israel and not be antisemitic. However, I definitely believe
that those that DO PRAISE KILLING 6 MILLION JEWS ARE ANTI-SEMITIC.
But where do you draw the line? Is it politically incorrect to cirticise
Israel in American media? Unfortunately, I think it is.
About the video, I bet that there were many people in a lot of countries
who had something to gain from the attacks. Why was it that only the
palestineans were shown? It had such a huge effect on the American psyche as
can be seen by it being one of your first questions. Why do you think the
opinions are so different in Europe and in the U.S. on this issue? 10
palestinean kids dancing in the streets (for whatever reason) have a geater
effect on bias than anything when shown right after people jump to their
death from a burning building.
ROG: Finally, when Rob interprets the Arab capability to build nuclear
weapons as
a solution of mutually assured destruction, I think he misses the point that
the goal of Israel's neighbors isn't to have a lose/lose game theory
standoff, it is to USE IT.
But what would be the point in using a nuclear Weapon on the land that you
want for yourself? Wouldn't that just be destroying the toy that the two
babies are fighting over?
Rob
