actually, those arguing a sort of fascist tendency in Pirsig offer some points from Lila, especially the "Giant" section (I remember John Beasley on that). I don't agree, and anyway I think such charge based upon ZAMM is completely absurd.

My point can be also explained by this consideration: the Holy Bible is Holy also to the Ku Klux Klan. The Holy Qur'an is Holy also to Al Qaeda..... I'd not dismiss Chomsky or whoever else only because some fascist likes him. The problem is to understand if Chomsky or whoever else likes fascism!
(on this I can't help as I don't know his thought....)
