Hey John,

Sorry for the delayed response I was out of town and am catching up on posts.
I just wanted to thank you for taking time to tell me your thoughts on
postmodernism.

I found it a little confusing that first critique said the problem was that it
didn't go far enough and you say "the nihilism of those who take postmodernism
too far is evil."

I enjoyed and agreed with a lot of what you said- I just had a question on one
point. Can you expand on what you mean "uniquely mine" is a fantasy.
Marco pointed out that illusions are real in an earlier post .. so isn't the
"uniquely mine" real. If yes that sounds what I've heard from a previous
postmodernism teacher--there is a degree of subjectivity and objectivity in
everything. I was entirely with you at the beginning of this sentence and
then at the end became more hesistant. My story seems to be made of a unique
idiosynchratic pattern of events and is following that developmental path that
is not unique.

JB"While the quality that I experience
is uniquely mine, the developmental path is not unique, but can be shared
with others, and the surprise at the end is that the "uniquely mine" is a
fantasy, too."

"Always remember, you're unique. Just like everyone else. "--Unk.
