Ok,
Point A is where ape first raised his head, looked around and thought, whoa,
i am different, i am an individual, then having realized this looked back
down and continued behaving the same as all the other apes for lack of the
ability to have a better idea. This is when immitation begins, because
immitation is a choice, it is an intellectual idea and other
non-intellectual species cannot immitate, they only act according to social
Quality, which happens to line them up with everyone else. at point A, the
itellect exsists as a tool (as pirsig says, the social level aware of a
higher level)
We can only discuss human social because of the subjective division.
Point B is socrates, i guess, where the intellect distinguishes itself,
although it was always growing untill then.
the other points are arbitrarily important (even more so then the last two):
descartes, newton, galileo, copernicus are the first few, perhaps jesus,
karl marx, the buddha and castro (and they gasp) are the later ones (may i
add marcuse as well [and 1968 in western europe and possibly the US], and
pirsig of course). maybe throw the new deal in there somewhere. arange in
in chronological order and there you go.
Or, introvertedness all the way to schitzophrenia, but i asumme this graph
is supposed to be a chronological thing.
Point G doesnt exsist, except in someone rolling around on the ground,
frothing at the mouth speaking gibberish. The sage has no choice (supreme
choice), if someone thought G was enlightenment. I dont think this graph
incorporates all that is important, the relatioship is more complex
perhaps...
