The question of authenticity sounds a little Sartre-ish?
Interesting.
High quality social value has little to do with the ghost of financial
wealth.
High quality social value implies freedom from manipulation and freedom to
care.
Therefore, a society which insists the acquisition of wealth to be of primary
concern is not primarily concerned with social values but with power.
It seems to me that such a society is driven by biological values in that
money privileges the reinforcing of 'I' centred culture.
For what but a delusioned consciousness would claim to own anything let alone
tokens?
One may debate cones of influence and stuff but it seems to me that money is
influencing quite enough to be going on with as it is!!!!
