MD Mythos of the MoQ

hi all MoQists,

With all these intellects thinking about Quality, i imagine their are many
interpretations, visulizations and metaphors. I'd like to hear some and see
how they are.

Here's one of mine to start with, notice the metaphor works because gravity
is Quality to the inorganic patterns in the universe:

We fall like rocks from space, we fall without eyes with which to percieve
our surroundings. Thus, we fall through an unknowable space, not even a
dark space because their is no concept of sight. We percieve only that
which collides with us. Experience is the blinding light of re-entry. We
follow it towards Quality, through Quality, along Quality (the Dao), but
rather it is actually Quality's pull which causes (ACK!) experience.
despite the briliance and dynamic nature of the light, we are lost in the
(static) patterns of space dust which trail experience. the light, or the
portion of the rock producing the light through friction with the great
unknown, the leading edge of the rock, is what buddhists call the God-head,
and christians the soul (or so i think).

And for those squares who dig science, i have this notion which may not be
entirely scientifically accurate for all i know, but i corisponds with my
understanding.

Perhaps you've heard of the cone of influence, i'll try and draw a diagram:

time
|\ /
| \ 1./ 2.
| \ /
| \/
| /\
| / \
|_/____\__________ space

the dotted lines are drawn by the speed of light, the intersection is us in
the present (an instant). because nothing can travle faster than the speed
of light (theoretically), we can only be inluenced by something on the
inside of the cone, where as something (an event) outside it could never
travle fast enough to influence us. Thus, event 1 influences us and event
two cannot.

Now, my understanding uses the same graph but instead of the speed of light
drawing the lines, its Quantum probability. What is at the intersection is
definite (probbility waves colapse), but the further from the present we
get, the less definite we can be (probablility waves expand to take up
whatever possible room there is, the possible room is limited by the
instantaneous experience of the present, which is actually happening).
Thus, one nano second ago only has so many possibilities so that the present
may exisist as it does, one photon acting as a particle here or a wave
there, one displaced electron or so. futher away, quantum particles have
much more freedom. Maybe we landed on the moon, maybe it was a conspiricy,
the truth is only limited to our perception of the present and what events
could have happened so that the present could be the way it is (to neil
armstrong, there is little probablility it was a hoax, to a hermit in
autralia a hundred years later, its about 50/50). (remember, social and
biological events are based on chaos, and since chaos in uncertain, so are
inorganic, bioliogical and social patterns).

All this corisponds to buddhist wisdom i believe (as it should, because
buddhists and scientists are both observing the same world [to a point]).
The past exsists only in our memories, the future in our plans. The truth
of some past or future event is not concrete, but a duality of truth and
falseness, of wave and particle so to put it. perhaps others here know more
about mystic interpretations of time, past and future which line up with
this (somewhat) scientific model.

Hope you enjoyed my stories. hope you have some to tell to.

We fall like rocks,
Elliot
