Maybe I get it all wrong, but by Whorf means that there are only
processes (flashing), no things (light)? It makes me think about
Berkeley's idealism: It says that there are only properties of softness
and a feeling of texture by touch, red and round by sight, and some
sweet taste which makes a strawberry a strawberry. There's no thing
BEYOND these properties, no substance "out there": If you try to think
of a strawberry without the perceived properties, you end up with
nothing at all... there are only perceived actions or properties, things
are but an inference we make, and an unjust one. Hm. I feel there's
something there in your quote, but I can't articulate it.

Okay, the last few weeks I kept on digging on all kinds of philosophical
ponderings and questions (triggered by having written an article for a
spiritual magazine), and that's one of the reasons I read and wrote more
posts than I usually do in this forum. But it kinda distracts me from my
daily doings. So I'll stop mailing posts for a while, for a week or so.
I will keep on reading other people's posts, however. But I hope noone
will feel offended when I don't reply to them personally.

Greetings, Patrick.
