hello andre:

Elliot:
yes, i agree (but arbitrary to a point, Biology does seem to exsist as
something Qualitativly different from inorganic and social)

Elliot:
As the Awakening of Faith points out, there is a huge difference between
ignorance and knowledge. That is, although the Dao may not be
intellectualized, that it must come from an undifferentiated
(nondifferentiated) view of exsistance, not understanding how to
differentiate and therefore not differentiating is the way of the fool,
where the sage does not differentiate because he understands the Dao.
The enlightened havent gotten that way because they sat around and didnt
intellectualize, they studied hard and thought about the world much more
than your average folk. Hence the method of calmness and insight, that the
two must be practiced together, for we must not only let distinction slide
away, but we must observe constantly and deduce the nature of things at
every moment.
The Daoists sing from a beautiful songsheet, bet their chorus is but a chord
in the songsheet of the MoQ which includes and transcends Daoism, Buddhism,
Shinto, Chritianity, postmodernism, existentialism, Islam, Judiasm, etc.
All that is in Daoism is accepted and built upon in the MoQ (not just adding
SOM, but also adding Quality, evolution and lots of other ideas) Your
average MoQer understands the meaning (value) of Daoism better than your
average Daoist i suspect.
Just a thought, i could be wrong,
Elliot
