hi, Xcto:
you replied to that email by saying:
>i agree with your thoughts, but passion may not be quite right. When you talk

I know that my best poems seem to have always been there, and I have been only the vehicle in which they are delivered.
you also said:
When you're fighting for your
>survival, whether mentally or physically, every facet of your being can get
>extremely focused - fixated - on your adversary.
I have read stories and seen movies of meditating monks who can react in a split second even if an adversary comes from behind, and wondered how they did it. now i know. In zazen one reaches a point of focused attention in which one is connected to everything around them....the slightest sound, movement, or smell is detected because its part of you. one can follow the sound waves, or the movement, or the smell to where it ends and find oneself there.
is that what you mean?
