Hello Sam,
My point is that society embodies an underlying structure often referred to
as, 'The system.' Systematic organisation of social patterns is an
intellectual imposition.
This is so obvious that you may not be able to see the wood for the trees so
to speak?
If one removes oneself from the system, then you are in many ways in deep
trouble in the most free and Dynamic society on Earth? Hide in the hills,
live off the beaten track, go where you will, but the system will try hard to
find you and incorporate you.
This points to something larger than the individual; something uneasy and
disturbing if you think about it for a while. This may point you towards an
understanding as to why you find intellectual patterns being more important
than friends and family.
Peter.
