Dear Steve,
I hope my last posting to you also made clear enough that I don't agree with
your 9 Nov 20:06 -0500 statement to David B.:
'Patterns of value are patterns of the four types of value, not merely one
type per pattern.'
In my understanding of 'patterns of values' the only fundamental types of
value are 'stability' and 'versatility' of particular patterns of
experience. So in a SOM sense every 'pattern of values' consists of those
two subjective values. In a MoQ sense the pattern IS the value/experience.
The way in which the 'stability' of a pattern (the subjective 'value' of a
'pattern' understood as object) is maintained (and in which it can be
'versatile' without becoming unrecognizable) determines (my understanding
of) their level.
I would be interested to read what you think of the quote I just provided in
the '(Wim is it.) Focus forum - round four' thread. That quote more or less
founds this understanding of 'patterns of values'.
With friendly greetings,
Wim
