    Yikes, I'm getting it from both sides here. I was responding to Platt who
    was objecting to being needing a conscious, awake observer to be. He was
    being myopic and argumentative in one direction, and now you are in the
    other. You are of course correct that we believe that the patterns of
    morality will continue as we sleep - in fact, that's why we aren't surprised
    that some things have changed while we slept.

    I don't think we should say we have "replaced" SOM with the MoQ, we have
    just shown that SOM is not the final, true description of reality but rather
    a high quality pattern within the the final true description of reality.
    So, OK, maybe we have replaced it as the final true description, but we
    haven't invalidated SOM or subjects and objects or said they are not real.
    SOM is still essential to life and experience, if someone were to stop
    believing in the real substance of food, and in their own real existence,
    we'd lock them up before they starved to death or tried to jump off a
    building.
