    In creating art, you are totally free. You become a Goddess, a creative
    force, a designer of a world. You try to show what it's like to be alive,
    not only in this world, but in all possible worlds. The best of your
    paintings are infused with life.

    Most of my paintings fail. Despite all my failures, I keep painting
    because I want to be there when the image before me suddenly
    transforms itself into a living thing.
