On 31 August 2004 6:33 AM Ilya writes to Mark and all:
Ilya: I want to ask your opinion what is the best way to describe the
changes that occur in the hierarchy of static patterns that compose
a man.
Ilya: I'll try to explain what I mean. A man is composed of four
levels of static patterns, and each pattern responds to DQ
independently. At different times of his life a man responds to DQ
predominantly on one level or on the other. For example, a toddler
responds to DQ predominantly on biological level, teenager - on social
level, an adult - on intellectual level. And even fully grown-up man
may respond to DQ predominantly on biological level when he is devoid
of air, food, water or sex for a long enough time. Or predominantlyon social
level, when he is homeless and insecure.
Hi Ilya, and all,
joe: a thought provoking post! Thank You! The Russian authors, Gurdjieff
and Ouspensky that I suggested to you propose that man becomes more
conscious. IMO in my opinion you are describing of what he becomes more
conscious. IMO in my opinion awareness is separate from evolution. There is
a mystical connection between them. It is not necessary that consciousness
equals evolution. I can have one level as a center of gravity in my
awareness. I have work to do. I accept that a separation of awareness and
evolution is possible. IMO the physiological difference between men and
women suggests evolution is not one level at a time but there are different
intervals between levels. Procreation in the organic, social, and
intellectual levels is one interval. I see individuals dedicated to celibacy
skip the manifestation of that interval without being neutered. Their
awareness continues.
A few thoughts on the subject you raised.
