David. I appreciate your thoughts on this, but I just
don't see why if the friend was writing about her
experiences, he would portray her with manly features.
These notes must have been written by the friend about
his own experiences, and then the author took some
poetic liberties in the 'reconstruction' to weave them
into her own, but then forgot to fix up or remove the
part where s/he peed standing up.

The prose IS poetic, don't you think David? I mean
that is part of her point of her theses, that prose
can be fanciful and poetry can be truthful, and she
seems ot have been able to pull off the two at once.

This site is really an amazing find, with enough
ammunition to supply a large battallion of MoQists. I
wonder how Mr. Pirsig came upon it? Climacus is the
first writer I've seen in print since ZMM was
published to desire to sincerely go back and
assasinate a seminal philosophical figure for the good
of future mankind. Daring and in the final analisys
    moral I think.
    Rich
