    Rick, Matt and y'all:

If we can't rely on the english language as a common medium
    > of exchange here, then all is lost in a soup of incomprehensable
    solipsism.

    WEBSTER'S II New College Dictionary:
beg the question. - To employ an argument that assumes as valid the very
same argument one is trying to prove.

    RICK
Rely on that David. If you'd like to use the English language as a medium
of exchange I'd suggest you draw your definitions from the dictionary and
    not your own 'incomprehensible solipsism".

    DMB says:
Huh? But I never denied this definition. And I did look it up before I
posted on the topic. In my dictionary, the one you've included is the third
    definition. The fourth one says: "to fail or refuse to come to grips with;
avoid; evade." The 9th one says, "to assume the truth of the very point
raised in the question." As I said, the definition you include is just one
specific way to avoid the question and commit this error. Clearly all this
definitions are true and they're all are related by a core meaning. Further,
my complaint about incomprehensible solipsism was not address to this issue.
It was addressed to Matt's use of the word to mean the use of a premise with
which he disagrees. This is the definition that nobody will ever find in any
dictionary and that's why I said it defies the english language.
