See now, Mark, I was equally disturbed by the post in question.
    Especially this chunk:

    Jon:
"...The terrorists INTEND to kill civilians. The United States does
NOT. Repeat, the US does NOT intend to kill civilians! Yet we get
yelled at more for accidental civilian casualties than the terrorists
do for INTENTIONAL murders! Repeat, they kill civilians INTENTIONALLY!
The US isn't proud of people who get killed. The terrorists videotape
it and hold up severed heads. You tell me which is evil? INTENT
MATTERS! It MATTERS, damn it. God Bless America. (In case someone
mentions the prison abuse scandal, it does NOT reflect the true heart
of the US military any more than a single bad apple, such as a
delinquent teen, reflects the true heart of a household of, say, ten
    family members)."

    Chuck says:
Identity crisis at its boiling point, so evident as to almost arouse
suspicion. But to fake such paranoia so convincingly, to the point of
the surreal almost. Wow. Dubya's America gets scarier by the frickin'
    email.

To whom exactly are you trying to sell such empty jingoism, Jon? I
    mean, besides the obvious? (you.)

And if this is a hoax, I mean, damn you really had me going there, but
    what was the point?

I assume it's real, as is my depression at the realization that it's
such a common POV, among conservative, fanatically religious and the
heads-firlmy-shoved-up-their-asses sets mostly. Anyone wanna take a
shot-in-the-dark as to for which presidential candidate Jon cast his
    vote in the recent election?

These are the denizens of the "Red Sates."

Just thought I'd point that out.

    I'm gonna go out now and see if I can't score some Democracy Pills;
this election hang-over is a humdinger!

    !

    Best regards,

    Chuck
