    Hi Chin and all,

    Which self would that be?

My self is different moment to moment. Sometimes the differences are
great, sometimes the differences are very small. When I am emotionally
detached from them and watch them, these selves can be quite comical, and
sometimes mean. Most often my self is unconscious. Occasionally I hear
myself say something left over from an earlier time in my life. The
statement is no longer true, it is no longer something I believe, but has
been sitting dormant in my unconscious. It is only through happenstance
that it bubbles to the surface. This is where most of my prejudices lie,
hidden even from my view. While these selves can be totally fascinating,
they are nothing. They are illusionary. They are nonsense.

Is there a "true self"? I think my true self is like an unself. I
experience it in moments during meditation. Sometimes I experience it when
painting, or when taking a walk. Such a moment is always a gift. It is
total awareness. It's when I'm connected to everything and beyond identity
    and beyond self.

Does anyone have an absolute self? I don't think so, but I would love to
hear what others have to say.
