You seem to be bothered by Sam's theistic approach. I am puzzled at why you then use terms like "Goddess". I can understand that you would want to argue that that your concept "Goddess" is not the equivalent to your concept of a christian "God" but I am not clear at how it escapes theism. Please explain. I also think that your concept "God" does not match Sam's concept of "God" and that is partly why you fail to understand what he is saying at times. Maybe your concept of "Goddess" is not that far from Sam's concept of "God"?? Why you choose to use "Goddess" and Sam "God". I don't know...maybe you both are sexist pigs (just kidding). But I really believe that a part of the failure to understand him is because you dismiss Sam's commetns by interpreting them with YOUR concept of "God", or how other christian priests from your past describe God. To me when I hear Sam talk he doesn't sound like a lot of christian priests that I know so I try to understand his concept of
God to understand his argument. The very fact that he finds it worthwhile to talk and discuss "Quality" and "God" doesn't seem that far off from you finding it worthwhile to discuss "Quality" and "Goddess".
