    Hi Erin,

The feminist part of me objects to the masculine gender applied to
deity. I use the word Goddess for balance. God, Father, Son, Goddess,
Peter Pan, Wendy, TinkerBell and Captain Hook are archetypes. To me they
are interesting archetypes, but do not represent an anthropocentric
deity. I am an atheist. MOQ is anti-theist in that it denies an
anthropocentric deity. Christianity is a theist religion. It has a male
deity. Sam is not just a Christian, he is a Christian priest. His
vocation is not just like a plumber's, over at the end of the day. He is a
full-time, representative of a male, anthropocentric deity and all the
    tradition that goes with it.

I do read Sam's posts. I am interested in his perspective. But for Sam to
fully accept an anti-theist metaphysics would be to reject his priest
persona, vocation, identity. I was challenging this as his blind spot.

I know, who am I to say such things? I am a messy human with lots of blind
    spots myself.

    Marsha
