And yet made a point to write about his experience picking up a bar tramp, and
describing his "whoring" in a book on metaphysics. He drank beer on rest stops
when he was driving cross country on the cycle in ZMM. And wasn't there
something about peyote induced hallucinogenic experiencs? He couldn't have been
quite the prude you want to believe he was(is).

"hippies, trippies and flower children"... that makes me laugh!...

so what about toby keith, platt? i hear he sings a good
america-is-a-butt-kickin'-country set? and charlie daniels? is he a trippie
degenerate? i mean, i can see how your establishment-lovin' feathers would be
ruffled by the clash or the ramones, and i can see how sex singin' groups like
the bee gees and elvis presley can get your prudish victorian sentimentality
all in a stir... but what about ol' bob segar or hank sr. and bocephus? are
they signs of the end of civilization as well?

frank sinatra? talk about getting the ol' sex drive going! how many young,
nubile teens lost their way because the chairman crooned them into it? is
sinatra one of your hippie trippie flower children responsible for the decay of
the nation? and peggy lee... don't even get me started... sinatra and miss lee
are responsible for more sin! sin!! SIN!!! than those dang ol' clash guys will
    ever be.

and what about enya? does she count? just between you and me, i know more people
who've 'gotten down' to enya than to the sex pistols... and while i was
laughing a while back from the see-how-old-and-outoftouch-i-am comment about
ravel's bolero, i fondly remembered my college days and a 'friend' with an,
ahem, 'love' of bach's "die kunst der fuge", beethoven's eroica and that monk
chanting cd that was popular back then... i still can't listening to them
without smiling... and i bet a lot of people got their sexual desires revved
and going to mozart back in his day too... indeed, i understand ol' amadeus had
    his share of groupies...

and i can tell you one final thing... i bet a lot more people are having sex to
mozart right now, tonight, in the good ol' u.s. of a. than the ramones or the
clash... or even, god forbid, toby keith.
