I have no problem with "sublimating" the sex drive, if that's what you
mean. Instead of giving into every passing biological urge, redirect that
energy towards creating something of lasting beauty. I think that's what
some Victorian painters did, especially the impressionists.
Because someone is prevented from doing what she would like to do doesn't
necessarily mean she's being "repressed" much less "oppressed." Some order
and discipline is needed for society to function. But, perhaps we can
agree to err on the side of freedom.
