    You're the first to give me a straight answer.

    I said this was a hypothetical challenge, so "fairness" doesn't really
    apply. (None of us knows for a certainty.) But I appreciate your
    Eastern/mystical holistic perspective, which I think expresses the
    Plotinus/Eckhart ontology as well as anything we've seen from the Western
    philosophers.

    I'm going to place an essay on what I see as the philosophical significance
    of this issue on my "Values" page next week. You'll be able to access it
