Guess we should all just join the Christian church then, since this seems to be
the "system" you feel captures this "consciousness" best, eh? Perhaps we could
then join in your crusade against "systems" that wrongly feel "they" know the
    consciousness better, eh?

And of course, since Christianity understands that this "consciousness" created
"us" like "Him", why... that gives us complete dominion and reckless regard to
any thing "non human", unlike those other "systems" that got it all wrong. Woo
hoo! How convenient for the capitalists!

Seriously, though, I never took from Pirsig a feeling that Quality was somehow
pseudo-anthropomorphic, or possessing an "identity" or "self" that watched,
judged, gave tablets to prophets, or sentenced people to hell.

Which is an interesting question: Is there a MOQ "hell" of eternal damnation and
torment for those who don't say prayers to Quality every night? Or call Quality
by a different name? Or experience Quality in different ways?

You might say I am misconstruing "consciousness", but how can consciousness
exist without "identity", or a perception of itself as "separate from the
universe"? That is, can there be consciousness without an "I am" (Yahweh)?

Not the least of which begets the question, who created the creator? How can
that "intelligence" exist without something that "created it"?

And, if we are told to presume that "that" pattern simply "always existed and is
without time", why couldn't we apply that same logic to the intelligent
patterns we see everday? Why is it more ludicrous to say "the intelligent
patterns in that watch always existed, they are without time", than to say "the
intelligent patterns in that watch prove there is an intelligent creator, but
that creator, despite showing intelligence, has no creator and simply always
    existed"?
