I do perversely draw the alternative conclusion from than quote, that
what Pirsig is really saying is if you want to change the world (as he
and we clearly do), start with little things you can actually have an
effect on.
From little acorns ... etc.
Look after the pennies ... etc.
From one tiny mutation spring whole new species ... etc.
Don't start taking on global politics and war head on; but rather
softly, softly, catch'ee monkey, as I may have mentioned.
