Ham,
First of all, that is not a statement of mine or Platt, although it is one I
heartily agree with. I took it to be a response by school administrator
Mati Palm-Leis to David M's assertion that "Dynamic economy helps support
intellectual and artistic development via well financed universities etc."
(Please correct me if I'm wrong.)

Whoops you are wrong but it is my mistake. This is Platt's statement which
I failed to put in proper quotes. I was wondering why all of sudden people
thought I was Republican. :-)
